Voice AI SaaS for agencies

LocalVoice AI: White-Label AI Receptionist SaaS

A white-label platform agencies use to sell AI receptionists to local businesses. One form produces a phone receptionist and a website chat widget that answer from the business's real information and book into its calendar.

My role

Founder and lead engineer owning product strategy, the real-time voice pipeline, the agent knowledge base, booking integrations, multi-tenant dashboards, billing, and the landing-page funnel.

Overview

LocalVoice AI packages an entire voice and chat agent stack as one product for agencies. The agency fills in a client's hours, services, prices, FAQs, and tone. The platform then runs a dedicated AI phone line and a brandable website chat widget, both working from the same knowledge base.

Problem

Local businesses such as dental clinics, salons, and home-service companies lose bookings when calls ring out at night, over lunch, or while staff are busy. Agencies can charge $300-500 a month to fix that, but building it means wiring up telephony, speech-to-text, LLMs, text-to-speech, and calendars, and then billing for all of it.

Architecture
  • Telnyx telephony gives each client business a dedicated local number (US, UK, Canada, Australia). Clients keep their existing number and forward all calls, after-hours calls, or busy-line calls to it.
  • A real-time voice loop chains Deepgram speech-to-text, Groq/DeepSeek LLM reasoning, and Cartesia text-to-speech for natural, interruptible replies in under a second, with simultaneous callers supported.
  • A grounded knowledge base built from the setup form feeds both the phone and chat agents. When an answer is not in the business's data, the agent offers a callback from the owner instead of guessing.
  • Booking tools check live availability in Cal.com or Google Calendar, book the slot, and send the customer a confirmation.
  • Supabase-backed multi-tenant workspaces store per-client sub-accounts, call recordings, transcripts, summaries, outcomes, and usage. White-label mode serves the agency's own logo and domain.
  • Metered wholesale billing on voice minutes (unlimited chat) powers the Starter, Agency, and Scale plans, plus a free tier with one business and 30 voice minutes.

Results
  • Live landing page with a callable demo line and an on-site chat agent for a fictional dental clinic.
  • Replies in under a second on live calls, with every call answered and logged 24/7.
  • Wholesale pricing leaves agencies a 55-70% gross margin on resold minutes.
  • An agency can launch a client in minutes with no code, no telephony knowledge, and no vendor accounts.
What I improved
  • Put the whole stack (telephony, speech, LLM, voice) behind one bill and one dashboard so agencies have nothing to stitch together.
  • Made chat unlimited on every plan and metered only voice minutes, so agencies know their margin before quoting a client.
  • Built the pitch around proof: recordings, transcripts, and booked appointments that agencies can show clients to keep them paying each month.
